Hello everyone, my name is Ashley Williams and I am a bully. In grade 2 a new girl came to my school. She was different looking than everyone else in the class. I bullied this girl and today I feel terrible for doing this.
This all took place at Muskoka Beechgrove Public School. It was fairly early in the year of 2003 when I was sitting beside my friend in Ms. Annala`s class. Ms. Annala had told us we were going to be getting a new student. I figured that I was a fairly good student and even in grade 2 I liked to help others. I showed almost every new student that came to my school around the playground on their first day and I was not planning to stop anytime soon.
The new student had arrived. When she came into our class room Ms. Annala asked who would like show here around at recess. I put my hand up and I was picked. At recess I was to voluntarily show the new girl around outside.
At snack time I was talking with my friend. I asked her if she would help show the new kid around with me at recess. She said she didn`t really feel like it.
I did not want to show the new kid around all by myself because I barley new her. So, during snack time my friend and I made up a plan. Our plan was to leave her standing alone.
It was recess so I walked the new girl outside. We stood by the little white fence for a while but then I left. I said that I would be right back. But I didn’t come back at all. I went off to play with my friend. Meanwhile the new girl was standing there all recess waiting for me.
At the time I really didn’t feel like a bully. Now that a few years have gone by I know that what I did must have really hurt the persons feeling epically it being their first day. To make matters worse the student I bullied is one of my good friends now and whenever she can she reminds me of the horrible thing that I did. I can`t blame here though. Even though it is so hard to say, and I regret it now. I am a bully. For the new kid who knows who she is. I am terribly sorry for what I did to you.
If I was to put myself into this students shoe`s I would feel so unwelcome to a new school. I`m sure if I was this student that I would probably go home crying to say that that was the worst first day ever.

Hey. I really was impressed with your presentation today. It was so impactful. I hope you don't feel bad. You are so mature to have dealt with it the way you have. Thanks for giving us all some inspiration.

Samurai
The Samurai people originated in Japan. They lived there life according to the code of Bushido which means “the way of the warrior”. To live this way they had to be loyal, respectful and be self disciplined. The Samurais had a lot of honour. In fact, they had so much honour that if they were defied they would commit seppuku now known as suicide. They would do this by rolling up in paper and getting a fellow Samurai to cut them vertical then horizontal down their stomachs. To make it worse there would be a man behind him to cut off his head after the cutting of the stomach was done.
The Samurais wore clothing that covered their face. They were usually covered head to toe in metal outfits. Some even wore hats with horns. The Samurai fought with many weapons but their well none weapon was the sword. At the age of 5 or 6 on your birthday you would get your first samurai sword (fake of course) to start to train. Rich kids went to a special school to learn how to become a Samurai others were taught by their fathers or grandfathers.

Ninjas
By: Ashley
Ninjas can crush a golf ball with two fingers. They start to train to be a ninja at the age of 5 or 6. At that time they are taught how to dislocate their bones. This helps them when they are older. Most of the ninjas weapons they dip in poison to kill their enemies. I don`t know if ninjas are superhero’s or villains but they sure are cool to learn about.

Spiders
By: Ashley

Most of you have probably heard of the good old spider. I am going to tell you some more cool and new facts about this very interesting species.
Spiders are what you call an invertebrate which means they don’t have a backbone. They are also pollinators like bees. Spiders are not insects which most people think. They are their own kind. Tarantulas shed their furry skin as they grow, leaving behind what looks just like another tarantula.
When you think of a spider you think of a web, right? Well not every spider makes a web out of all 30,000. Most spiders have around six to eight eyes. When spider’s webs have been torn or ripped they will roll the ruined one up into to a ball and eat it. Then they will start their new web. My last few facts are that the male spiders are usually smaller then the females and spiders can be as small as a pin and reach the size of a dinner plate.

Constrictors
Constrictor
The Constrictor is a snake that kills its pray by strangling it. Its coils help to strangles it. The constrictor does not eat often but when it does eat it aims for a gazelle. This snake can also hang in trees and can reach up to 10 m long. The constrictor snake is not poisonous is if it bites you but it can eat you whole no problem. I hope you learned something new by reading about constrictors
P.S. I would upload a picture but they really creep me out

Komodo Dragon
Vicious Predator

By: Ashley
Mr. Ferris
The Komodo dragon is a Carnivore. That means that it only eats meat. The Komodo dragon is also a predator. That not only means it just eats meat it also means it hunts and kills the meat it eats.
The Komodo dragon can eat its own wait. With larger animals like deer’s the Komodo dragon will slap them down with their strong tail and tear off meat as they hold on to the deer’s carcase. With animals like lambs the Komodo dragon with just eat whole (Bones and all).
If there is so an animal that is brave enough to kill and eat a Komodo dragon I would be very surprised. I am not positive but will all my research i could not find out what eats a Komodo dragon.
The Komodo dragon is in the same family as a lizard. The only difference is that the average male Komodo dragon is 3 meters long and weighs about 200 lbs. Their tails are as long as there body and they are no friendly to get up and personal with.
The Komodo dragon prefers to be in warm and dried out spaces. Some of the ecosystems you would find the Komodo dragon in are places like dry open grass ground, savannas and tropical woodland at low levels. For shelter they make holes with their huge claws and crawl into them for warmth.

Ill Feeling Dec 25, 1635
I woke up this morning with an ill feeling inside. My head is fuzzy and my right arm is feeling num. Don`t believe I will be doing much exploring today.
Niagara Falls July 6, 1610
I witnessed today what I would think should be one of the wonders of the world. It is a huge water fall in the shape of a horse shoe. I found it on the border of New York State and Canada. It was a marvellous sight to look at for hours and hours.
Huron Indians October 1, 1609
I had befriended the Huron Indians last year and today I helped them fight the Iroquois in a battle. There were a number of issues from fur trading to stealing land. I had been a long hard fight and I am glad to see the day done and hoping to get a good night’s rest.
Lake Champlain April 25, 1609
Today I set out to explore the St. Lawrence River for the King of France. It was a dark and gloomy day out today and the wind was cool. As we charted unknown waters we came upon a lake that I named after myself (Lake Champlain). It is on the border of Northern New York state and Vermont. It was quite an adventurist and successful day.
Quebec January 15, 1608
I t was a cold bitter day today in Quebec. I believe this could be an excellent fur trading center. I have lead 32 colonists to this area to settle. If they can survive the harsh frosty winter in Quebec I am sure more settlers will come. I believe that I might have founded Canada’s first City (Quebec)
The Bay of Fundy May 31, 1604
Today it was a bright and sunny day and we returned to Canada. We sailed around and charted most of the coast of Nova Scotia to the Bay of Fundy. Then we sailed down the coast to Cape Code and Martha’s Vineyard (Massachusetts) and later to Rhode Island. We ended our night with a feast and the crew sat around and played numerous games.

Lillys First Dolly
Dreams Do come True
Have you ever heard of a remarkable young girl name Lilly. Lilly is seven years old and has already fought cacner twice. She is a very strong little girl and believes she can do anything she sets her mind too. Lilly has some problems. Not only has she fought cancer twice but she has also never had her own doll.
One day Lilly was at home sitting on the couch when her mom came in and sat beside her. Lillys birthday was coming up and her mom asked her
what she wanted.
Lillys eyes opened whide and in a strong voice she said "I would like a shiny dolly with a pink dress please..."
The doll that Lilly wanted was really expensive and the batteries were not included.
Lillys mom didn`t know what to say except for "We will have to wait and see."
The next morning Lilly woke up to the sound of her brothers alarm clock across the hall. Then her mom walked into her room and told her she had to get ready for her doctors apointmate she had that day.
Lilly had nothing against going to the doctors. In fact she was excited to get the lolly pop at the end of the check up. They walked into the doctors office and signed in. They waited in the waiting room untill Lillys name was called.
Lilly walked into the doctors room to see a sad exspretion on the doctors face. Lilly new it couldn`t be good. Then he said he had some bad news so Lilly pluged her ears. Then the words came out.
"I`m so sorry, but you have been diagnosed with cancer again Lilly." said the doctor. Then the tears came pouring out.
When they got home all Lilly could do was cry. She coldn`t accept the fact that she had cancer again. She remembered how hard it was.
To go through it all again would be awful. She had grown her long blond beautiful hair out and for what? She had, had enough.
The next day Lilly had to go into the hospital for Kimo. As she layed asleep in the hospital bed her mom quietly came in and put the shiny doll with a pink dress down to lay there beside her.
